Frequently asked questions with Juli.
What happens if my visa gets rejected?
Visa rejections are my potential clients’ number 1 worry and it’s completely understandable. In the 14+ years I’ve been running my relocation consultancy, I have never had a single visa rejection. This is because I am very selective about the cases I choose to take on. I suggest you book a consultation with me so we can discuss your particular case and I can evaluate your visa eligibility to help you avoid costly mistakes.
How should I prepare for a move to Colombia?
Make sure you have some Spanish under your belt. We Colombians appreciate it when you make an effort to integrate into our culture and speak our language. Also, keep an open mind at all times. We are friendly, helpful people and our culture is unique and rich, but it’s likely very different from what you’re used to. As long as you have a positive, respectful attitude, you’ll feel at home in no time.
How do I open a Colombian bank account as a foreigner?
When opening a Colombian bank account, it’s essential that you have a Cédula de Extranjería. A lot of people confuse this for a visa but they are not the same thing. When I process your visa, I include the Cédula service for FREE so that you can access the full spectrum of services available to Colombian nationals. We also personally take you to open a bank account, set you up with mobile banking, and we also provide you with taxation advice so that you can make informed choices when it comes to your finances.
Can you help me with post-relocation stuff?
Of course! Our concierge support service is perfect for this. Consider it your fully bilingual Personal Assistant. We set you up with the essentials such as housing, health insurance, and a bank account, but we also help you with whatever you need to feel at home.
Need help booking a trip or making an appointment? Sick at home and need some medicine? Want someone to explain to your hairdresser exactly what you’re looking for? We are happy to help you with that and so much more. I’m extremely proud of this valuable service so I encourage you to consider it… it’s a lifesaver!
